School Note November 28th. 2013

28-11-2013.

Dear parents,

I wish to bring the following to your attention.

The Vigil Mass at 8 p.m. on Saturday night, November 30th. will include an Enrolment Ceremony for the children in the Confirmation classes and their families. Children stay with their families.

It has come to my attention that some children appear to be doing their homework on the bus on the way home from school. It is the responsibility of parents to check your child's homework each night from Monday to Thursday. All homework journals should be signed every night. Your child gets one chance at primary school. It is important that he/she develops good habits.

In the event of a child being absent for a total of 20 days in a school year, the school must pass the information to the National Educational Welfare Board. An Educational Welfare Officer may then contact parents to discuss the matter further. It is school policy that parents should contact the school in the event of all absences. A simple note will suffice. Absence notes are provided at the beginning of each year.

The school's Lost Property section is growing. If your child has lost a jacket or other item of clothing, please check the Lost Property beside the school office. Every item of clothing should have a name tag on it.
