School note Thursday September 21st

21-9-2017.

Dear parents,

I wish to bring the following to your attention.

Our Under 13 boys football team drew with Kildimo NS on Tuesday in a very exciting fixture. Our 13 girls football team made light of the rain to enjoy a victory over St Paul's NS yesterday in Mary I.

Children in Fifth and Sixth classes are looking forward to  a ten week IT module with Whizzkids, a company providing an  IT skills programme for primary school pupils. The programme will commence on Friday September 29th. and will run for ten weeks, ending on December 15th.

Please check your child's Homework Diary every night, Monday to Thursday. It is a good idea to sign the Homework Diary and check that homework is being done properly.

Date for your Diary: Limerick Primary Cross Country championships take place in Limerick Racecourse in Patrickswell on Wednesday October 25th, starting at 11 a.m.

Children in Fifth and Sixth classes will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday March 21st at 1 p.m. in St Joseph's Church, Ballybrown.

Once again, I ask parents to avail of the parking area available in the Resource Centre and in the Church grounds. Please keep the Staff parking area and the bus areas free. Please do not obstruct traffic or park in the yellow box at the gate. Please ensure minders, grandparents or others who are occasional visitors to the school are aware of these arrangements.

Safety of children is our only priority.

Website: All information relating to the school, school calendar, booklists, GAA fixtures etc  is on the website www.ballybrownns.ie

Finally, I urge parents to ensure that your child's name is on all books, coats, fleeces etc.

Gach dea-ghuí,

J. Lyons

Principal
