School note March 3rd 2011

Dear parents,.
It has been brought to my attention that the parking situation is unsatisfactory at the moment. Some parents are parking in the Disabled Parking area and in the Staff parking area.  If parents park in the Staff parking area, those children then have to walk through an area where cars are entering and exiting. This is obviously dangerous and I appeal to drivers to be aware of this. The reasons why the Disabled Parking area must be kept clear are self-evident and require no explanation.
The Parents' Association has tried stewarding the Car Park but has met with limited success through no fault of their own.  The Chairman of the Board of Management has written to the Superintendent at Roxboro Garda station for advice. As I have stated repeatedly, my only concern is the safety of children.

Congratulations to Shannon Gillane and Amy Neville Day from Sixth Class who played on the Limerick City girls Football team that won the Larkin Shield under lights at the Gaelic Grounds last night. Congratulations also to their teacher Sinead Fitzgerald who was a selector with the team.
All school tours will take place on Thursday May 26th.  All classes will receive details next week.
