School note September 13th

Dear parents,

I wish to bring the following to your attention.

Third Class pupils have commenced a six-week block of Cycling Safety lessons with Mr John Clancy. This is a great opportunity for the children to learn a lifelong skill.

The Cumann na mBunscol Gaelic Football season will start shortly. Tomorrow, Ballybrown NS will bring two teams to play JFK National School in Na Piarsaigh grounds. I would like to thank all the teachers who give so generously of their time and expertise, year in year out.

I would like to express my gratitude to all the families for their Art & Craft/Photocopying contributions. If you have not yet paid this money, you can give it to Rosemary in the school office any day between 9a.m. and 2p.m.

The final date to avail of Allianz Pupil Personal Insurance is Friday September 28th. Monies to Rosemarie in the School Office. This scheme is entirely optional.

Some families have not yet returned permission slips for school related outings. Please return these at your earliest convenience.

A fun Quiz night in aid of the senior citizens Christmas party will take place in Ballybrown GAA club on Friday September 28th at 8.30 p.m. Under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult

Have we got your up-to date-contact details? Did you move house or change your mobile number during the summer? It is vital that the school can contact parents quickly in the event of an accident etc. Please notify the school if your contact details have changed. Mobile numbers are needed for the Text a Parent Service.

Gach dea-ghuí,

J. Lyons
