School Note March 7th. 2013

7-3-2013.

Dear parents

I wish to bring the following to your attention.

Conor O Neill from Fifth Class will today represent Ballybrown NS in the local heat of the RTE 2/Eason’s Spelling Bee competition. Well done to Conor for all his hard work.

This week is Book Week and today is World Book Day.

The next meeting of the school’s Parents Association is on Monday next March 11th at 8.30 p.m. in the Halla.

The children in Junior and Senior Infants are going to a performance of The Gruffalo in UL on Friday. Excitement is mounting. Today, the boys and girls in Sixth Class visited Copsewood  College in Pallaskenry for a performance of their school musical, Wiz, which stars many of our former pupils. 23 children from this school will attend Copsewood College next September.

Last week, Mary Corby and Damien O Brien of the Ballybrown/Clarina Community Games visited the school to present medals to children who won prizes in Art and Handwriting. Training for Rounders takes place on Mondays at 3:10pm in Breska Rovers soccer field.

 Gach dea-ghuí,
