Dear parents,

I wish to bring the following to your attention.

Yesterday, the President of the GAA, Liam O Neill, visited the school as part of the preparations for Féile 2013. He was accompanied by Oliver Mann, Chairman Limerick County Board GAA and Limerick hurler Declan Hannon as well as members of the local GAA club. It was a memorable occasion, enjoyed by all. Thanks are due to the members of Ballybrown GAA club who put up bunting in front of the school and assisted in a variety of ways.

Approximately 50 children from the school took part in the Limerick City Primary School Sports in UL on Tuesday. It was a most enjoyable day. Thanks to Mr Hennessy and Mary Conway for their work and to Áine O Sullivan who acted as a steward for the day.

All classes in the school will go on the annual School Tour next week. The Infant classes will go on Wednesday May 29th while the rest of the school travel on May 30th. Please see overleaf for details. All details are also posted on our website www.ballybrownns.ie .

On Saturday May 25th.  the children in Second Class will receive their First Holy Communion in St. Joseph's Church, Ballybrown. Preparations are well advanced for this special occasion in the lives of the 34 boys and girls. We look forward to a lovely day.

Please remember, school will be closed from Tuesday June 4th to Friday June 7th inclusive.
