School note October 23rd 2014

Dear Parents,

                     Well done to all involved with our boys' and girls' football teams who played in the City Cumann na mBunscol finals at the Gaelic Grounds yesterday.

The girls' team under the guidance of Mrs Mulroe, Ms O Connor and Mrs Hanly  won the school's first ever title in ladies' football in a dramatic finish. The boys were defeated by St Paul's but played their hearts outs. Thanks to Mr Lordan and Mr Hodnett for all their work during the season.

                Parent teacher meetings will take place on Wednesday and Thursday November 26th and 27th between 3.15 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. The school will contact you closer to the date to confirm appointments.

          School closes tomorrow for mid term and reopens on Monday November 3rd.

The school's Halloween fancy dress party will go ahead tomorrow October 24th. Sixth Class decorated the Halla today.  As a Green School, home-made costumes made from Recycled Material are recommended.

                         Swimming classes for Fourth Class in Askeaton Leisure Centre will start on Wednesday November 12th for a six-week block.       

Ballybrown Juvenile GAA club: Halloween Disco and Fancy Dress Friday October 31st. Children up to Second class 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Under 14's 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Community Council:November Fair on Sunday 2nd November starting at 10.45am in Community Resource Centre.Cake Sale, Mini Farmer's Market, Bric a Brac, Children's Books and Toys, Face Painting, Raffle, Complimentary Refreshments, Halloween Mask Competition Prize Giving.

Wanted​ in aid of Resource Centre: Almost new or unused Bric a brac, Children's Books ​and Toy. Please drop to the Resource Centre from Tues. 28th to Fri. 31st Oct. between 9.00am and 12.30pm​
