School note October 3rd.

Dear parents,

As the Indian Summer recedes, parking has become more of an issue once again. Few schools in Limerick have as much parking available as we have. However, we have had a number of dangerous incidents lately. Parents must abide by the parking regulations, even on wet days. Please bring these to the attention of grandparents, minders and anybody who drops off or collects children.

Every week, the school is involved in Cumann na mBunscol GAA activities on at least four evenings a week. The school is also playing in the Ard Scoil Rís hurling tournament tomorrow Saturday. I would like to thank all the teachers involved for their interest and commitment and also the parents who provide transport each week.

Please remember that an absence note is required every time your child is absent. These are kept on file until the end of the school year. The school has to make returns to the National Education Welfare Board in respect of every child who misses 20 days or more in a school year.

Ballybrown Bord na nÓg: City final of Scór na nÓg 2014 will take place on Friday 14th November.  If you are interested in taking part in Rince Foirne / Rince Seit / Instrumental Music / Recitation or Storytelling /Ballad Group / Solo Singing or Table Quiz, please contact Evelyn Adams on 087-2211804.

All participants must be under 17 years.  Further details on Ballybrown GAA & Camogie websites.

Parents Association: There is a Recycling day planned for Friday 17th  October 2014.  Please have your bags of unwanted clothes, handbags, paired shoes etc in bags at the school by 9.15am that morning.  Many thanks in advance for your help.

A fundraising event in aid of Little Steps Montessori will take place in De Bucket on Saturday October 11th at 8.30 p.m. Monies raised will go towards the purchase of an outdoor climbing frame.
