Homework for Infant classes March 30th to April 3rd

Homework suggestions for the Infant classes

Continue with all workbooks that were sent home. Encourage neat handwriting & attention to detail when colouring.
Continue with class reader, focusing on new words, questioning & comprehension.
Daily "free writing" - (keeping a diary/ retelling their favourite part of a story/remembering an event)
https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/5-7-years/counting  is an excellent resource and is suitable for children in Junior/Senior infants. Spend 10-15 mins per day.
https://www.jollylearning.co.uk/shop/uk-shop/phonics-resources/jolly-apps/jolly-phonics-lessons-app/ Jolly phonics app is ideal for use on a tablet or phone. Again 10 – 15 minutes per day is plenty.
See also Free Daily Resources for children below. Lots of lovely ideas here that are less "school like" but are helping children to continue learning.

Parents,
Please note that you are not expected to replicate the school timetable! Time spent baking, playing outdoors, playing imaginative games, lego etc. are all worthy activities. Additional stress on parents and children is the last thing anyone needs!
We hope you and your loved ones stay safe ,
Regards,
Ms. Keyes, Mrs. Fitzgerald, Mrs. Hayes.
