School bulletin December 10th

10-12-2020

Dear parents,

I wish to bring the following to your attention.

El Gleeson from the Redemptorist Food Appeal will visit school on Monday  to collect food handed in by children to help the needy at Christmas. There has been a great response to her request for non-perishable items. Tomorrow is the last day for donations.

All eyes will be on Croke Park on Sunday as Limerick face Waterford in a unique All-Ireland Final pairing. Mr Barry's class staged their own 'Up for the Match' which may be viewed on the school Twitter page @Ballybrown NS. Ballybrown GAA club put up bunting on the school grounds last weekend and this was a very welcome gesture. Children may wear green and white to school tomorrow as we show our support for John Kiely's team. This will double up as a    Colours Day for the school's Parents Association who have done so much for the school over the years. €2 per child would be greatly appreciated. Our best wishes to Limerick. There is a strong Ballybrown connection in the backroom team including Mikey Kiely, a former pupil of this school, as Strength and Conditioning Coach and physio Mark Melbourne.

Tomorrow is also the closing date for the Resource Centre Christmas Art competition. Entries to ballybrownclarina@gmail.com. Don't forget to attach your name and age!!

Parents of children in Sixth Class are reminded that the closing date for application to secondary school is Monday January 11th 2021 at 12.30 p.m.  The completed Application Form, accompanied by a stamped self-addressed envelope, should be submitted to the Principal at the Number 1 School of your choice.
