School Note August 31st 2017

31-8-2017.

Dear parents,

                   Another school year is underway.

Today, 33 children enjoyed their first day at school. I look forward to getting to know them all over the coming weeks. I would also like to welcome new faces to the staff of the  school. Mr Seamus Barry is teaching 6th class. Ms Kim Burke and Ms Phoebe Neville are  teaching Infant classes. Mr Fergal Keoghan has been in the school previously and is teaching 3rd & 4th class. Ms Ciara Griffin is teaching Second Class. Mr Donagh McCarthy has joined the  Special Education team.

Please note the following.

Children are supervised from 9 a.m. each morning. The school cannot be responsible for pupils arriving at school before 9 a.m.

Sign -in and out: Child Protection is always a priority. Any adult taking a child out of school or bring a child back to school during the school day must sign the book at Reception.

Parking: I would appreciate if parents used the Resource Centre and Church grounds car parks. Children should not walk through the staff car park. They should enter via the gate nearest to the Resource Centre. Safety of children is paramount.  Please do not park in Staff parking areas or in Bus berths.

All children will attend Mass for the start of the new school year on Monday September 4th. at 10 a.m.  in Ballybrown Church.

I would like to express my gratitude to all the families who have already paid Art & Craft/Photocopying contributions. Please hand in monies to Rosemarie in the school office any day between 9a.m. and 2p.m. €35 per child or €60 per family.

Please ensure that the school has up to date contact details for phone, Text a Parent and e mail.

If your child is absent, please fill in an Absence note to be given to the class teacher on your child's return to school.

Homework Club will commence on Monday September 4th for children from 3rd to 6th class. Homework club will run from 3pm to 4.10pm. If you have any queries please email bbhomeworkclub@gmail.com
