School note September 26th

26-9-2019

Dear  parents,

I wish to remind you that  children are supervised from 9 a.m. each morning.  The school cannot be responsible for pupils arriving at school before 9 a.m.

Please note that the school will be closed on Wednesday  December 11th 2019 to enable teachers to attend Inservice training on the new Primary Language Curriculum.

Confirmation will take place for children in Fifth and Sixth classes on Tuesday, February 18th 2020 at 10.30 a.m.

First Holy Communion will take place on Saturday May 16th, 2020 at 11 a.m. in Ballybrown Church.

Active School: Last week, Mrs Walsh invited children to submit photos of themselves partaking in Active Homework. She received  a wonderful variety of photos. Yesterday, 15 lucky children visited Milano's restaurant and learned the art of pizza making.

Today, basketball star Thomas Walsh of Limerick Lions club visited the school and took all Second class pupils for a coaching session.

Well done to the Under 13 girls football team who recorded a win over an Mhodh Scoil yesterday. The boys Under 11 team play JFK today. The Under 13 boys play Kildimo NS tomorrow.

The AGM of the Parents Association took place in the school last Tuesday night. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing officers Dermot Gleeson, Creena O Connor Kelly and Simon Goble for their work on behalf of the school and for their unfailing courtesy. There have always been very positive relations between the school and the Parents Association. I look forward to working with the new Committee.
