School note March 9th

Dear parents,

On Tuesday, all classes from Third to Sixth took part in a Maths Workshop as part of  the school's involvement in Engineers Week. MathsWorks is a stimulating and fun introduction to Maths.  Lifetime Labs spent the day in the school. My thanks to the Parents Association for subsidising the cost of this activity.

Reminder: School will be closed on Wednesday March 15th as teachers are required to attend Inservice Training on the New Primary Language Curriculum on that day. School is closed on Friday March 17th, St Patrick's Day.

Recycling Day - The next Recycling day is    Friday March 24th.  Please have your bags of unwanted clothes, handbags, paired shoes etc. in bags at the school by 9.15am that morning.  All families will receive bags next week. Thank you for your continued support for this worthwhile fundraising event.

Hurling helmets, in green and white,  with Ballybrown NS Crest may be ordered from the school. €50 each. Please pay money to school Office. Closing date Thursday March 16th.

Ballybrown NS is on a shortlist of three in the Best Large School category at the Cumann na mBunscol Awards to be held in Enniskillen tomorrow night, along with Drimnagh Castle CBS, from Dublin and Kilcoole NS, from Wicklow, the 2016 winners.
