School note November 9th

Dear parents,

                    I wish to bring the following to your attention.

                    Parents of children in Mr Lordan's class who were due to have parent -teacher meetings on Wednesday October 25th will have meetings on Wednesday next November 15th. All other classes have completed their meetings. As usual, there was almost 100% attendance.

                    Fourth class enjoyed the first of six swimming lessons in Askeaton Leisure Centre yesterday. It will be the turn of  Third class after Christmas holidays.

                    The children in Mr Sheehy's and Ms Griffin's classes will enjoy hurling lessons with a coach from Ballybrown GAA club tomorrow and each Friday until Christmas. Hurley and helmet needed, if possible.

                    All three Infant classes will take part in a PE module with  Sport and Leisure students from LIT each Friday morning for the remainder of this term.

                   Tomorrow, all children from Third to Sixth classes will attend UCH for a performance of 'Cork Pops'. All classes have been learning songs in readiness for the big day. Thanks to the Parents Association who have paid for the buses to UL.

                     Best wishes to Ms Griffin, Second Class teacher,  who plays for Munster v the Barbarians in Thomond Park tomorrow evening.

   Congratulations to Mr Sheehy  and his wife on the birth of their second child, a boy.

Colours Day- The Parents Association would like to thank the parents for their contribution to Colours Day on Friday October 21st.  €465 was collected on the day. 

Book Fair - The Book Fair will take place on Thursday November 16th and Friday November 17th this year. Books will be available for viewing by all classes on Thursday November 16th. The Parents Association are looking for volunteers with the Book Fair. If you are available to assist on Thursday Nov 16th between 2-4pm or between 7.30-9pm or on Friday November 17th between 9am-10am or from 2pm to 3.30pm, please text Susan MacNamara on 087-2257625.
