School note Thursday January 30th

Dear Parents,

                    This is Catholic Schools Week. Yesterday, Mr Walsh's class hosted Grandparents' Day. It was an occasion enjoyed by all, children and grandparents. The children baked some delicious goodies.    

             Tomorrow night, six teams from the school will take part in the MPCC Credit Union Quiz in Mungret GAA Club. Quiz practice for children in 4th, 5th and 6th classes goes ahead in the Halla each day at Lunchtime.

                Junior Achievement: Mrs Ivess' class are enjoying the Junior Achievement Programme  with Rob Geary of Zimmer Biomet. This is a great opportunity and we appreciate Rob's generosity with his time and expertise.

               Confirmation volunteers - The Parents Association are seeking parents from 3rd and 4th classes to volunteer for the teas/coffees for the Confirmation. This will be held on Tuesday 18th  February at 10.30 a.m. - volunteers are required for approx. 90 minutes from 11.30-1 pm. Please contact Emma Harris on 085-1134368 if you can help out.  

           A date for your diaries - April 2nd and 3rd  -  Anti- Cyber Bullying/Stay Safe on the Internet - Workshop for Senior Students (4th to 6th  Classes ) and evening talk for ALL Parents in the school hosted by Ger Brick.  More info to follow.

BALLYBROWN CHURCH CHOIR: Do you love to sing?  Ballybrown Church Choir is recruiting new members! We rehearse every Tuesday in Ballybrown Church from 8.00pm and our first practice of 2020 will take place on Tuesday 4th February next.  We welcome all singers aged 18 years and upwards, with or without experience. Everything will be provided, there is no audition and you don't even have to be able to read music.  All you need bring are a sense of fun and a love for beautiful music!  For further information please call Rosaleen on 087 2267647 or just come along any Tuesday rehearsal night.                Ballybrown Camogie Club will be taking 2020 registrations for U8s,U10s, 

U12s and U13s age group on Friday 7th Feb between 8 pm and 9.30 p.m. at Ballybrown G.A.A. Clubhouse.  Contact us through our Ballybrown Camogie club Facebook page.  New members are most welcome including any older
